The Church teaches that sacred music is ‘a treasure of inestimable value’ (Sacrosanctum Concilium 112). The ‘Summa Musica’ Catholic Hymnal is our completed hymnal project — freely shared so that the beauty of chant, hymnody, and psalmody remains alive in the Church today.
We are working hard at CathaholicMusic.org to provide up to date choir guides for all of the Hymns of the ‘Summa Musica’ Catholic Hymnal.
As time progresses, we hope to gather complete choir recordings of all of the chants, hymns and polyphony contained within the Summa Musica and beyond.
